Sallishah Ali

Sallishah Ali joined WBMA in 2021 and returned in 2025 following graduate school. She began her career working on residential and commercial interior renovations and has transitioned to restoring historic building facades and enclosures across New York City. As Senior Restoration Staff, she assists in material and product research, documentation and assessment of conditions, development of construction documents, and construction administration. Notable projects include façade restorations at 1010 Fifth Avenue, 1000 Park Avenue, and 424 Fifth Avenue, the former Lord and Taylor flagship store. A first-generation Guyanese-American, she was born and raised in the Bronx. She holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation with a concentration in Architectural Conservation from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Architecture with a concentration in Architectural History and Theory from CUNY. Sallishah is a member of the Association of Preservation Technology and is pursuing licensure in New York State.

Jasmine Tarley

Jasmine Tarley joined WBMA after graduating from the University at Buffalo in 2022. Jasmine’s experience spans architecture, digital design, art administration, and woodworking. As Restoration Staff, she focuses on assessing and documenting existing conditions, detailing repair drawings, performing field inspections, and preparing associated reports. Some of her notable projects include Columbia University’s St. Paul’s Chapel, the Chinese Scholar’s Garden at Snug Harbor, 1 Union Square West, 38-50 West 9th Street, and 10 Gracie Square. She is currently pursuing an architecture license. Outside of her professional endeavors, Jasmine is a life-long New Yorker and enjoys exploring the city's rich cultural history, fine art, and video production.

Kristine Roodal, LEED Green Assoc.

Kristine Roodal joined WBMA in 2023. As a member of the Restoration Staff, Kristine is actively involved in field surveys, development of repair drawings and details, and leak investigations. She has contributed to exterior restoration projects at 142-144 Greene Street, 1-2 Sheridan Square, 1220 Park Avenue, and the award-winning 1000 Park Avenue. Prior to joining WBMA, Kristine gained experience working in architectural design and historic preservation in NYC and Japan, and as a Community Planning Fellow with the Fund for the City of New York. She earned her Master’s degree from City College of New York with a focus in community architecture and sustainability. Kristine earned her LEED Green Associate certification in 2024 and is currently pursuing her architecture license.

Van Staggers II

Van Staggers II joined WBMA in 2022. As a Restoration Staff member, he focuses on field surveys, on-site inspections, producing repair drawings and details, and providing construction administration support. He also performs FISP and parapet inspections and prepares FISP reports. He has contributed to notable restoration projects including 1 Union Square West, 850 Park Avenue, 444 Central Park West, 654 Madison Avenue, and 65 Bleecker Street – The Bayard-Condict Building. Prior to joining WBMA, he gained experience with the New York City School Construction Authority and as a Project Designer focusing on public school restoration and renovation projects. Shuang Wu

Shuang Wu joined WBMA in 2024, bringing four years of experience in architectural preservation and adaptive reuse design. As a Senior Restoration Staff member, she specializes in conducting existing conditions surveys, creating architectural drawings, and performing field inspections. Her key projects include 1000 Park Ave., 95 Madison Ave., the New York Athletic Club, and the Chinese Scholars Garden at Snug Harbor. Shuang holds a degree from Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, where she began her journey in historic preservation and contributed to the restoration of the Xi'an Main South (Yongning) Gate, dating back to 1370. Shuang also earned her Master's degree at the University of Pennsylvania, where she expanded her expertise in architectural design, research, and hands-on experience in manufacturing terra cotta shingles and wood structures.

Kelly Thompson O’Meara

Kelly Thompson O’Meara has four years of experience in New Traditional residential architecture, broken up with a return to his Alma Mater at the University of Virginia, and joined WBMA in 2025. As a member of the Restoration Staff, Kelly assists with site surveys and documentation, project research, drawing development, and FISP reports. While pursuing a Certificate in Historic Preservation, he contributed to the 3D laser scanning and digital preservation of Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and Academical Village; artifacts of James Madison’s Montpelier, the Fralin Museum, and the Mark Kutney Collection; and the grounds of Bremo Bluff Plantation, Enslaved Laborers’ Chapel, and Old Stone Jail of Fluvanna County, among other historic properties around Central Virginia. Kelly is pursuing an architectural license and enjoys cheering on the New York Yankees and attending lectures with the Institute of Classical Art & Architecture (ICAA).

Sky Micare

Sky Micare brings six years of experience in the fields of historic preservation, architectural design and construction, and joined WBMA in 2024. As a member of the Restoration Staff, Sky assists with existing conditions surveys and documentation; preparation of background drawings, repair drawings, and details for exterior restoration projects; and construction administration services including field inspections and reports. His key projects are 95 Madison Avenue and 18 Gramercy Park South. Prior to joining WBMA, Sky worked hands-on jobs as a contractor remodeling homes and performing general construction tasks before working for several architecture firms across the east coast on project types ranging from commercial design to historic renovation and restoration.

Sandro Kenkadze

Sandro Kenkadze is a Preservationist with international experience in heritage conservation. As a Restoration Staff member, Sandro specializes in field surveys, existing conditions documentation, and architectural repair drawings. He is also involved in construction administration, including on-site inspections. His notable projects include the restoration of the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew and 24 West 67th Street. Before joining WBMA, Sandro contributed to the preservation of UNESCO World Heritage sites in Georgia and participated in various international conservation projects. He holds a Master of Science in Historic Preservation, Resilience, and Sustainability from the University of Notre Dame, and both a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Restoration/Conservation, Art History, and Theory from Tbilisi State Academy of Art. Sandro also serves as an Ambassador of the University of Notre Dame representing the country of Georgia, and is an active member of Europa Nostra Georgia and the European Students' Association for Cultural Heritage (ESACH).

Mohammed Gueye

Mohammed Gueye brings four years of experience within the fields of architecture, industrial design and digital fabrication, and joined WBMA in 2025.  As a member of the Restoration Staff, Mo assists with site surveys and documentation; preparation of background drawings, repair drawings, and details for exterior restoration projects; and construction administration services including field inspections and reports. Prior to joining WBMA, Mohammed designed and managed interactive public art installations, as well as hardwood furniture for digital fabrication. Outside of the office, he spends his time producing films, shooting photography, and drawing portraitures. Mo is a graduate of The City College of New York’s Spitzer School of Architecture.

Lindsay Papke

Lindsay Papke has seven years of experience within the fields of architecture and historic preservation, beginning her studies in Los Angeles before joining WBMA in 2022. Siobhan O’Gorman, Assoc. AIA

Siobhan O’Gorman brings ten years of architectural experience spanning historic preservation, landscape and interior design, and stone fabrication. Jing Ying Chin

Jing Ying Chin joined WBMA after graduating from Syracuse University in 2022. As a Senior Restoration Staff member, she focuses on field surveys; produces background drawings, repair drawings, and details; and assists with construction administration including extensive on-site inspections. Notable projects she has contributed to include the restoration of Casa Italiana at Columbia University, The Frick Collection, the Cosmopolitan Club, 65 Bleecker Street, and 475 Tenth Avenue, as well as the award-winning Lord & Taylor Building and 1000 Park Avenue. Prior to joining WBMA, Jing’s working experiences included a design internship in Malaysia and undergraduate teaching assistance in architectural drawing.

Christian Velez

Christian Velez has worked in the field of architectural restoration for 10 years, with 7 of those years at WBMA. He specializes in leak investigations and projects relating to NYC DOB’s FISP program (formerly Local Law 11). As a Project Manager, Christian performs building surveys, issues construction drawings and specifications, and manages repair projects from start to finish. He has worked on projects across New York City, from residential buildings along Park Avenue such as 1000 Park Avenue and 525 Park Avenue, to cast iron buildings in Soho such as 382 Lafayette Street. He has also contributed to the firm’s award-winning efforts at Central Presbyterian Church, St. Paul’s Chapel, and 451 Broome Street. Christian is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology.

Jacob Gavigan

Since joining WBMA in 2016, Jacob Gavigan has advanced from our restoration staff to the role of Project Manager. He specializes in leak investigations, conditions assessments, and developing long-lasting repair solutions that maintain the integrity of historic structures. Notable projects include 173-175 Riverside Drive (terra cotta balustrade reconstruction and cornice replacement), 18 Gramercy Park South (leak investigations and façade repairs), Cedar Point Lighthouse (schematic design for ruin stabilization), 912 Fifth Avenue (facade restoration), 40 East 66th Street (construction administration and leak investigations), and 48-50 West 69th Street (façade restoration and waterproofing consulting). Thomas Rinaldi

Tom Rinaldi has worked in architecture and landscape design for more than two decades, for most of that time specializing in restoration and work on historic structures.  In his role as a Project Manager at WBMA, Tom’s responsibilities include the development of contract documents including drawings and specifications, field surveying and construction management from bid to completion, as well as historical research and coordination with city regulatory agencies.  Select projects at WBMA have included Riverside Church, the Cosmopolitan Club, the Jewish Museum, and numerous buildings in the Greenwich Village, Upper East Side, and SoHo-Cast Iron Historic Districts.  He holds degrees from Columbia and Georgetown Universities and has authored three books: “Patented” (2021), “New York Neon” (2012), and “Hudson Valley Ruins” (2006).

John Lane

Project Manager John Lane has worked at WBMA since 2018. Melanie Colter-Medrano

Project Manager Melanie Colter-Medrano has nine years of experience across several architectural disciplines. For the past six years with WBMA, she has supported building envelope restoration, FISP repair, and preservation consultation projects. She performs condition surveys; produces detailed architectural drawings, materials research and specifications; and provides construction administration. She has been a key contributor to notable projects such as the 424 Fifth Avenue – The Lord & Taylor Building, 131 Hope Street – The Hope Building, Smallpox Hospital – The Renwick Ruin, 451 Broome Street, and 100 Hudson Street. Melanie is a graduate of Cornell University and Herron School of Art and Design. Eileen Murdock

Senior Project Manager and conservator Eileen Murdock has over 20 years of experience in the field of historic preservation. Since joining WBMA in 2004, she has focused on conservation of historic materials. She has experience assessing existing building conditions, preparing bid and construction drawings and specifications, and administering the construction phases of projects. She has been involved with restoration projects at the Cosmopolitan Club, Marymount School of New York, 1060 Fifth Avenue, 1000 Park Avenue, Grace Church of New York, 520 and 524 Broadway, and 3 Hanover Square. She also regularly consults with other WBMA staff regarding material issues, including paint and mortar analysis and lab testing. Ana Felisa Viaña

Ana Felisa Viaña has worked on the preservation and restoration of historic buildings at WBMA since 2016. As a Senior Project Manager, she performs field surveys, produces construction drawings and project manuals, and during construction, conducts site meetings and inspections to see projects through to completion. Ana is adept at custom detailing and has experience with a board range of traditional materials. Award-winning projects she has worked on include the exterior and interior restoration of Columbia University’s St. Paul’s Chapel and Green-Wood Cemetery’s Historic Chapel, as well as the exterior restoration of 34 Gramercy Park East, the oldest operating residential co-op in NYC. Other current projects include the restoration of The Art Students League of New York and The Osborne. Ana is a graduate of Cornell University and New York University.

Nicholas Capozzoli, RA

With over 13 years’ experience at WBMA, Project Manager Nick Capozzoli has performed a variety of services in the field of building envelope repair and restoration. Jimena Bruguera

Senior Project Manager Jimena Bruguera has over 20 years of experience across diverse sectors including historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and residential design. She is skilled in evaluating historic buildings and managing projects from small-scale renovations to large exterior and interior restorations. Her experience includes preparing construction documents, obtaining agency approvals, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams of consultants, contractors, and vendors while ensuring that all aspects of projects align with the clients’ vision and the architectural integrity of the buildings. With degrees in architecture and scenic design, she also brings a creative and artistic perspective to her architectural practice. David van Erk

Associate David van Erk graduated with an architectural engineering degree in The Netherlands and has been working in the field for the past 25 years. Upon moving to New York in 2006, his focus has been on the repair and restoration of historic structures. Having joined WBMA in 2012, David is adept at coordinating with various consulting disciplines to design, specify, bid and administer the construction phases of building envelope projects. One of his first projects with WBMA was the restoration of the cast iron portico at St. Mark’s Church In-the-Bowery, followed by the successful implementation of an accessibility project for the church. David is currently overseeing exterior restoration work at the terra-cotta-clad 95 Madison Avenue - The Emmet Building as part of its large-scale conversion from office to residential.

Megan Rispoli-Kim

Specializing in exterior landmark restoration, Megan Rispoli-Kim has 20 years’ experience in the field, including 15 years at WBMA. Benjamin Fallows has 18 years of architectural experience working on a variety of design, planning, construction, and preservation projects. For 9 years, he has been at WBMA specializing in the repair and restoration of exterior envelopes in NYC. As a Senior Project Manager, he is responsible for overseeing projects including surveying building conditions, preparing construction documents, assisting in contractor selection, performing scaffold drops and site inspections, and preparing field reports and punch lists. Barbara Endes

During her 20-year tenure at WBMA, Barbara Endes has managed all phases of preservation, restoration, and renovation projects. As a Senior Project Manager, she performs and manages extensive field survey work and investigations; coordinates and prepares drawings, details, specifications, technical reports, FISP reports, and financial reports; and assists owners in contractor selection and supervision. During construction, she runs project meetings and performs and supervises site inspections to monitor the progress of work. Award-winning projects that she has worked on include The Frick Collection, Liberty Tower, and The Plaza Hotel. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Barbara is also an accomplished musician.

María Gabriela Brito

Senior Project Manager Gabriela Brito is an architect and historic preservation professional from Argentina with more than 16 years of experience. She joined WBMA in 2015 for a post-academic training program as part of her Fulbright scholarship. She resumed her work at the firm in 2021, after a period of independent professional practice and teaching activity. She has been involved in important restoration projects at The Met Cloisters; Casa Italiana, Columbia University; 1 Union Square West, the Lincoln Building; and Bath House No. 7, Brooklyn. Karen Brinkman, RA

Senior Project Manager Karen Brinkman, RA, has over three decades of experience as an architect and historic preservation professional working on a variety of design, landscape, interiors, and preservation projects. At WBMA, the focus of her work has been on helping historic apartment buildings analyze the impact of renovations, both interior and exterior, on the integrity of buildings’ architectural and structural systems. Karen is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and Society for Commercial Archeology; served on the zoning board of Montclair, NJ; and is a former adjunct teacher of CAD classes at Parsons School of Design.

With more than 35 years of professional experience at WBMA, Principal Robert C. Bates has overseen restoration projects at many of New York City’s premier institutions, including The Met Cloisters, Donald Judd Home and Studio, Green-Wood Cemetery and Riverside Church, as well as McKim Mead and White’s 998 Fifth Avenue and William Tuthill’s Schinasi Mansion at 351 Riverside Drive. Martin Lee Griggs, RA

Principal Martin Lee Griggs has worked in the architecture and construction industry for over 30 years, including 27 years at WBMA specializing in the assessment and repair of exterior envelopes. He has overseen several award-winning restoration projects including St. Paul’s Chapel – Columbia University, 451 Broome Street, Liberty Tower and Alwyn Court, as well as restoration projects at Louis Sullivan’s Bayard-Condict Building, the Cosmopolitan Club, several New York City parks and residential cooperatives. Sergio De Orbeta, RA, AIA, NCARB

With almost 20 years of experience in the field, Principal Sergio De Orbeta has been instrumental in the successful restoration, repair, and continued maintenance of numerous historic structures in New York City and beyond. 15 of those years have been at WBMA, where he has taken a detailed and methodical approach to his projects. Previous award-winning projects include 131 Duane Steet – the Hope Building, 451 Broome Street, Donald Judd Home & Studio, and Marymount School of New York.  He is a Registered Architect in the States of New York and New Jersey. Originally from Puerto Rico, Sergio received his Master of Science in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor of Architecture with a Minor in Architectural History from Carnegie Mellon University.

Bruce Barton, RA, AIA

With 35 years of experience in the practice of architecture, 25 of which have been at WBMA, Associate Bruce Barton has nurtured a focus on the restoration and repair of exterior masonry structures in New York City. A graduate of Penn State University and Cornell University, he is a Registered Architect in New York State, a member of the AIA, and a member and past Chair of the Bergen County, NJ Historic Preservation Advisory Board. Adept at managing projects from inception to completion, select work includes the award-winning restoration of Central Presbyterian Church, the Marymount School of New York, and the New York Society for Ethical Culture.

Dorian Yurchuk, RA, LEED AP BD+C

For over two decades, Associate Dorian Yurchuk has beheld New York City with the satisfaction of knowing that he and his colleagues are caretakers of this city’s body and soul. He tackles a wide range of project sizes and building components, from subterranean vaults to penthouses and finials. Projects are informed by researching buildings’ histories and period construction practices. In addition to specifying and administering projects, he also provides historic building envelope consulting services to other architectural firms. Dorian is a graduate of The Cooper Union and McGill University, and is a Registered Architect in the State of New York. He enjoys making art in various media and is an avid outdoorsman during all seasons.

Christopher Girr

During his 28-year tenure at WBMA, Associate Christopher Girr has worked on a wide variety of restoration and repair projects, specializing in idiosyncratic buildings and problems. He is responsible for overseeing and executing the assessment, development, and administration of alteration and historic preservation on a variety of projects throughout New York City, working closely with contractors to develop unique solutions to particular problems. His award-wining projects include McKim, Mead and White’s 998 Fifth Avenue; Renwick, Aspinwall and Russell’s 171 MacDougal Street; and 475 Tenth Avenue. Christopher is a graduate of Lehigh and Columbia Universities. He is also a skilled woodworker and furniture maker.

Janet Shelley Perusini, ASSOC. AIA

Since joining the firm in 1997, Associate Janet Shelley Perusini has worked on a full range of project types, from the restoration of civic and institutional buildings to high-end residential properties, both single-family and cooperative/condominium. She has offered continuous consulting services for several long-standing clients, where she has provided problem resolution for hundreds of leak investigations, building conditions surveys, FISP inspections, and exterior envelope repair programs that included masonry reconstruction, roofing replacement, and window restoration. Notable projects include Columbia University Low Library, Parc Vendome Condominium, The Jewish Museum, 1040 Park Avenue and 19 East 70th Street. With more than 25 years of experience in the fields of architecture and historic preservation, she excels in her technical work as much as in building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Janet received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from New York Institute of Technology and is an Associate member of the AIA.
